✨ Neonz Facez - A new AR-filter NFT line on the Tezos blockchain

Forget about the Web2 filters you are used to - Renowned digital artist Sutu, just released a series of AR face filters, the very first project of the “Sutuverse”, his metaverse in the making!

This new AR-filter NFT line is called “Neonz Facez”, and consists of “10,000 unique retro futurist avatars” minted on the Tezos blockchain unleash features tied to its utility in the “Neonz” Web3 game that is set to launch next month. Holders will in fact not only be able to wear their Neonz as an AR face filter, but also be able to unlock future content in AR, VR and Web such as gameplay and prizes.

So, what’s up next in the Sutuverse?

The next installment of the Sutuverse will be ‘Circuit Breaker”’ a WebGL speedrun game, which I’ll make sure to keep you updated on.

✨ The Metaverse Standard Forum and the pursuit of Interoperability

“The metaverse will bring together diverse technologies, requiring a constellation of interoperability standards, created and maintained by many standards organizations,”

Neil Trevett, Khronos president, inaugurated the launch of the Metaverse Standards Forum with this quote last week — a Forum, on the mission to bring together leading standards, organizations and companies for an industry-wide cooperation to reach interoperability standards, and finally bring to life the so-called “open metaverse”.

Open to any organization at no charge, the Forum’s goal is to focus on pragmatic, action-based projects such as implementation prototyping, hackathons, plugfests, and open-source tooling in order to accelerate the processes that concern the testing and adoption of metaverse standards; all projects, that will also serve to support the development of specific terminology and deployment guidelines.

“The Metaverse Standards Forum is a unique venue for coordination between standards organizations and industry, with a mission to foster the pragmatic and timely standardization that will be essential to an open and inclusive metaverse.”

HTC has finally unveiled the HTC Desire 22 Pro, its very first Metaverse phone that supports the HTC’s Vive Flow VR headset and NFTs in the most seamless way yet.

Not only will users be able to experience virtual reality thanks to its compatibility with HTC’s Viverse ecosystem and HTC Vive Flow headset — HTC is also giving a free NFT along with every device that you can redeem directly through your Viveverse wallet.

✨ The iconic Macalinao Brothers announce the launch a new crypto VC fund called Ship Capital

The Crypto & DefI space has been really quiet this week, but there are those who keep building! Earlier this week, Dylan and Ian Macalinao announced they are rebranding their developer collective to Ship Capital, which at the time of writing, has already raised around $33 million.

✨ Bloomberg shared reports stating that $4b in loans backed by Bitcoin mining rigs are currently in danger

As Bitcoin keeps following the downtrend, it's becoming increasingly difficult for miners to be able to repay their loans. Loans which, according to analysts, are literally on a razor’s edge.

If the market doesn’t improve, many miners will be forced to sell their Bitcoin reserves, causing a domino effect of a huge amount of pressure on prices and the cost of equipment collapsing…Not to mention further liquidations.
